Instead of showing you our favourite houses this week in England, we decided to let you know about our 2 favourite English Designers. One lives in London, Abigail Ahern and the other Martyn Lawrence Bullard lives in Los Angles, but still every bit the English gentlemen.
These two designers have influenced me greatly, with their eclectic and glamorous styles.
So this week we are going British.
I would like to start with Abigail Ahern, at the moment she is my favourite designer. I love the enchanting take she has on interior design and her style is glamorous, edgy, eclectic and witty, every thing we try to aspire to at Alida and Miller.
Abigail is the hottest designer in England at the moment and it's easy to see why, Abigail fuses a bygone style with tongue in cheek whimsy and I think its very important to bring humour into your home with interior design.
Abigail,s designs include The Grand Spa for The Ritz Carlton in Palm Beach, renowned chef Heston Blumenthal, a chain of luxury hotels in the Middle East and countless residential and commercial projects. Abigail also has published many coffee table, Design and Cook books and has a on line store that has an abundance of beautiful products for you to choose from

Martyn Lawrence Bullard was Englished raised, but headed to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Martyn has been collecting antiques from a small child, so he really has been styling for most of his life..
Martyn's style is eclectic and sophisticated with an amazing sense of style and attention to detail, that becomes obvious in his latest book Live, Love, and Decorate. The book covers the last 10 years of his work and is an insight to the glamorous world of the designer and show cases some of his famous clients. Martyn's clients over the years include Cher, Eva Mendez, Ozzy and Sharon Osborne, Kid Rock and Edward Norton just to name a few.
Like Abigail Ahern, Martyn also has a collection of wallpaper, candles, fabrics, mirrors and furniture and are available through MLB Design.

I have this book and the pictures are beautiful.
Even thought these two amazing designers have completely different taste in their interior style, both are inspirational and inspire me to be a better designer. I never get tired at looking for what they might come up with next.
